The section on lab safety and how to address the student was great I plan to give the safety breifign at the beginning of each class and every time we head to lab. The best thing I can do for my studnet is to tell them at teh start of class the ruel of safety in the lab abd then after that I tell the student the rule when we are in lab. I will then instruct  the studnet while in lab on safety when issues arise.

The company I worlk for will be flipping the training and we will begin working toward and more computer based traing. I will see haw I best fit in the flip classroom.

 

I would like to say that I have both individual lab and group labs forums in my class room. I see more learning potential in the group set up when the groups are small enough to incorporate all students in the learning process. I know the course material stated 6 to 8 per group but this would be to large a group when working on the training aids we have available. I like to keep the groups to no larger than 4. I think this leads to a more effective learning environment.

I have set up my class room in such a way that I am able to move between the class room tables. When I give a presentation I will move in an out of the student body. I am looking for understanding in the faces and just how many notes the students are taking. This also allows me the freedom to create a change of state for the student in the class room. They are not focused on one location and realize the whole class room is a learning zone. I have place training aids around the room in different… >>>

Some times we run across a student that just doesnt want to be help on the outside. The students secretly wants help but does'nt want to appear weak. These are the students that need help the most. If we the educator refuse to help or to even reach out to the student then we loose them. Example the student is haveing a hard time with the course material and instead of letting on he does not understand he simplely acts out behavior wise. I find that most student will give there best if the instructor involves the class in the lesson plan. The instructors should learn to be flexiable with the lesson plan some times the old pour and snore method just doesnt work. make the lecture fun by having the student move with lesson. Occasionally it leave the instuctor open to failure but if you roll with the punches you can over come the set back and learn a new way of getting the student involved.
