I think that with good effective communicating from the start and use scaffolding to see what they have learned, teachers can see what they have with prior knowledge and continue to grow. 

The biggest thing that was discussed was organized consistency. Using the same templates and set up for work, quizzes and exams so that the students are able to to keep a consistent pattern. 

There are different kind of learners. Not all people want to learn online or it may be more difficult for them to learn on line. Also a huge component is making sure that the communication is open to all students and to make sure that none feel alienated. 

It is important to gain the trust of the students. Also it is important to remember that in a normal classroom setting, not all of the time would b used for content base. So it is important to make sure that you do have time to talk with the students. If done at the beginning and end, you can work on discussions and to help promote students to talk. Also doing it at the end also helps to wrap up the lesson. 

 

I like how this section discussed how you are not able to see the concerns and body language inside of a classroom. The biggest thing in online learning is to how to get to know the people. I like the idea of posting a biogrpahy of myself for the students to know. Not only the academic but to also show a little personal part of your life so the students can see that you are a human as well. 

 

As an instructor for online learning, it is important to know how to use all of the functions that the students view, to be able to help them. The biggest thing to help students on an online platform is to know that someone is willing to work with them and the support. Then students will be more open to the online learning. 

On a personal note, I find it hard for students to take a class and not have a specific teacher or an email where they can get support on the topic and parts of the platform for help.… >>>
