Burnout for instructor and students is a real thing.  It is important to take time to refresh for you and the student.

It is important to provide a safe classroom for students to learn.  It is also important to provide a learning environment where students can be engaged.

The biggest take away from this course was that you need to help understand your student and where they are coming from to help them be successful.  However, you need to be careful that you do not get suck into their lives.

Understanding the learning styles of the student will be helpful.  It is important to lecture so all learning styles will be caught.

Getting to know your student is important.  Some ways to do that and remember names is by using a index card with there names on it and tent it.

Making sure that you are prepared when coming to class.

The biggest take away is that you need to lead by example and that it is not necessary to be student friend, but to have a professional boundaries with student.  It is important to make sure that you, as the instructor, does not become a student personnel counselor.
