When I was originally employed, students were not subject to a indepth background check. By working in the healthcare/medical field, I find it almost necessary in todays society. One reason why I agree it is so necessary is because most physicians will want to be ensured that they are hiring an trustworthy and honest person. Clearly, a physician would not want to jeopardize or put his/her business at risk for embezzlement. This way, when background checks are performed, we are ensuring the potential employer that the student passed the check.
