I learned that in an online environment, there are several channels that can help facilitate effective communication (instructor to student [I2S], student to instructor [S2I], student to student [S2S], instructor to group [I2G], group to instructor [G2I], and group to group [G2G]).

In this module I learned that in the online teaching environment, consistency is key, so that students can better understand what is expected from them.

Wow, great to have these activities as examples of what kinds of lessons are possible as an instructor.  Great examples of how to break the habit of rote memorization.

Learned about some activities to consider as visual and kinestheric teaching activities, nice way to regain students' attention, and/or to get students to think in a new way.

This module presented examples of creative learning activities that we could use in a clinical setting, to help students learn.  I liked that there were a variety of examples available, for different students and different settings.

This module presented several "out-of-the-box" lesson examples, that could be used to help students better understand and remember certain materials.  I learned from the examples that we can have these "out-of-the-box" moments, with or without extra resources/props/tools.

In this module I learned that one of the reasons a rubric should be used in assessment, is that it helps the student to understand how they will be evaluated, so that they can prepare accordingly.  After learning about the advantages of using a rubric, I then learned from the module the 3 common features of rubrics, in order to be able to apply this tool in the classroom.

In this module I learned about different types of assessments, and what a specific assessment can tell us as instructors, about a student's understanding of the material, and progress with the material.  I plan to apply this knowledge, to gain a better understanding of where the students are at in their learning, so that I can further tailor future lessons to fill in the gaps.

In this module I learned the difference between assessment and evaluation, and when it might be appropriate to use each one.  I also learned about the classification of levels of learning.

In this module I've learned that there are more and more technological tools available for students.  Although it is good that there are more options available, they may not all be a good fit for the class.  As instructors we must evaluate the tool before using, to see if it specifically fits the needs of our students, and the needs of the course.
