About me

I graduated from Wiley College Marshall, Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree, class of 1985, Master of Education in Special Education from Grand Canyon University. I have worked in various school settings, from vocational technical schools as Director of Admissions, to a four year college as Mathematics Math Lab Instructor to students with dyscalculia disorder to high school settings and have enjoyed  a sense of accomplishment from seeing my students starting School, attending classes and graduating as well. Currently, I am employed at Sanford-Brown College Houston, Texas as a full time Adjunct Instructor General Education Classes; also a Network Engineer by Trade, A+ CCNA Network Engineer I and run a Computer Repair Business. As a special education teacher, teaching and mentoring students with various disabilities, I have come to the conclusion that in order to be able to serve this population very well I need to further my education to study the nature, functions and phenomena of their behavior and mental processes so as to know why they think the way they think and why their behavior is what it is and be able to help them with research based strategies. This is all the more reason why I am in a doctoral program, general psychology with emphasis in instructions and cognition at Grand Canyon University. I have always loved working with Children and adults students. It’s a calling for me. A passion for changing lives. I look forward to working with everyone and making this a great journey and helping students find their purpose at Sanford-Brown College.
