Students in our school are required to duplicate a demonstration they observed. Their assessments are based on accuracy and time management.
Do you have any suggestions on helping the students focus on techniques and retention of information as opposed to completing the minimum requirements enough to get a passing grade?
Hi Shamar,
Students can write down the steps and practice them repetitively.

I agree that breaking students into groups is an enjoyable way for the students to learn. They discuss problems or questions. They learn from each other and broaden the understanding of the required material.
I personally like to teach on how I like to be taught. I am that type of person that needs to not only see it, but hear it and perform it. I will perform a lecture that involves all of the above to enhance what I have stated and they can leave the class session not only hearing what we had discussed, but also seeing it and practicing it,this makes it fun for all.
Hi David,
I too learn best this way, and this is certainly what I do with my students. My students tend to learn from me easily because of my varied teaching methods.
