diverse learners
Most classes have students with a range of learning styles Some are more capable than others. Great teachers are able to distinguish these students AND are teach an entire class. Moderately talented teachers teach the bright students and think that the not so capable students are lazy or stupid. It is the teacher who is lazy. R

Good points. My philosophy is that the best teachers are those that find a way to reach the most challenged students.
I agree that reaching the challenged students is important, but I see excelling students being ignored sometimes because of this and the rest of the crowd, the major 70% being ignored as well. I think the best teachers reach everyone.

This is a great point to remember. Our you is to teach the entire class and not just the easy ones.
Yes, an effective teacher does find a way to reach every person in his or her classroom. I also implore that the students with higher learning act as assistants to help the other sections. This also gives them a sense of ownership in the classroom in which they might not be challenged enough.

this is a great approach as it does engage these students. Also, they may be able to explain the concepts differently but in a way that the struggling learner understands.
