Prior Knowledge

Students with Prior Knowledge can be both beneficial and hazardous to your classroom. Students with prior knowledge can be helpful to classmates who may be struggling and to the instructor as a go to source. however, they can also easily become a disruption to the class as they try to hard to impart their experiences. In cases such as this, I would assign this student to be the "observer" as noted in earlier trainings.

I agree with this subject. Some students think that they know what they are doing, however they may not be doing it the right way. Sometimes, you really don't want them teaching new students "their way", you would rather have them observe and that way they can learn from each other.

I do agree with students having prior knowledge can be a benefit, however, sometimes their technique may not be appropriate under your class management. It must be assessed first.
