More Motivation.

In order to motivate students we need to create a fun environment and make the students to participate and develop activities and events.

GERMAN, fun is good but engaging is even better. Get your students involved in the process of learning. Include them in conversations about how learning works and what they want to gain from their time in your classroom.

I agree, however, everyone has different styles of learning and what they consider fun. What, exactly would cover all of the styels and interpretations?

Again, I feel like I am already doing many of the ideas suggested here to create a fun learning environment.
Students feel quite comfortable in my class participating and developing the activities and events of class

Vallorie, please share with the group some of the specific activities and events you use to engage your students. Thanks for anything you can share.

Specifically, students will participate in group projects where they work together to learn, for example, the camera. Together, they don't feel like they are on their own--if one person doesn't know something about the equipment, someone else will, and if they all don't know, they feel comfortable asking each other, looking for solutions and answers.

I ALWAYS encourage students by assuring them that though they might not know something when they begin, before it's over, they will be much better at the tasks--because they've applied the knowledge. Students need to be told that they can do something, that they aren't incompetent, or as some have said, "I'm stupid"...No one is stupid. You just may not have the knowledge to do it, but by keep trying, and keep applying they will be better equipped to in the end be the best --in this case--camera operator they can be. I have always told students that the only stupid question is the one you don't ask.
I hope this helps.
