I also enjoyed enhancing security. Our students are faced with a lot of different challenges. In some cases, coming to school is a challenge because of everything else that they have going on in their lives. I think that it is important to provide security in the classroom because it may be the only place that the student(s) can develop confidence and even begin to believe in themselves.

Latoya, great post and turns out to be true more than we may think. For many students the most safe environment for them to explore and engage is within our classroom. IF they feel they can totally and openly explore their ideas and passions the more they will be able to learn and grow.
