Organization of Class Items

I use 3 binder notebooks to keep all classes that I teach organized. This way I can always refer to them when I need something. It also helps me stay organized especially if I have grades some papers.

That sounds like a wonderful system and one that works well for you Desharia! Keep it up. It's nice to have reference material always handy. When we put thoughts on paper, we can put them out of our minds too.

I also use a 3 ring binder. It is divided into "classes" so depending on the class, I flip to that section. Included in the section will be master copies of activities, powerpoint lecture and the test/quiz with key used for that day. It's also especially useful if I'm sick and someone has to fill in for me.

Sounds like a wonderful system Becky! Thanks for sharing. I think you mention an important point about getting sick or being out in general. When you have a great organizational system in place, you can occasionally step out and let others take care of your work.

I have a file cabinet devoted to keeping material for my lesson in class every day. I keep each individual paper in its own slot and don't have a hard time finding these items when I need them.

I have beeen doing the same and I've added blank sheets to write down reminders and tasks for the day or week. It has truly been a time saver.

I also keep 3 ring binders to help stay organized, one for each topic we cover. I am able to ensure that I do not miss any important notes that should be addressed. It also keeps me on track with time management of knowing what needs to be covered in any given week. It allows anyone who may be covering for me to easily step in if needed.
