Leading by example is you follow the rules set forth by the school, same as the students i.e. dress code

Absolutely! How do you expect students to abide by rules, policies and procedures, if you do not do the same?

I like to show projects to students that I am working on outside of class for clients. I promote deadlines that are required by me, and let the students know the importance integrity and discipline in finishing projects on-time.

When you are given a deadline it is of the utmost importance to complete the task by the deadline. Deadlines are crucial in the workplace, and they must be met, otherwise repercussions will follow.

Hi Michelle,
As educators we should abide by all rules, policies, and procedures. We should also make sure to enforce all institutional policies. It makes one the bad guy, if he/she is one of the only ones enforcing institutional policies and others aren't.
