Forming teams with students from different culture:
In a cultural diverse community, it is not uncommon to have students from several cultural background, country of origin speaking different languages taking the same class. One of the big challenge is to get to participate in team work in which they have to present their research. What are some methods of motivating students from diverse culture to boldly step forward and present their research?
I have had the opportunity to work within groups of participates of from different backgrounds. I think the motivating factor for these groups is the ability not only to learn something new but also gives them the opportunity to see situations from different directions. Cultures see things in different ways and being able to share their ideas which in term will open up new questions for the group.
Diversity is essential in today’s learning and work environment. Learning Cultural differences helps to develop an understanding of the world about us and encourages talent sharing and development.
