Class Room

I feel that in an adult classroom evniorment it is alot of a balancing act. Getting all age groups to form together is sometimes difficult, but listening to them and taking the time out to have the group get to know each other I have found is a tremendious help and more often than not, sets them up for success as a whole unit rather than a few individual successes.

Having them get to know each other I think helps them feel connected and maybe understood. My classes have such an interesting mix of people who each bring such great insights to class. Unlike, high school, they have had so many more life experiences. I also have found they work well together regardless of age. I am wondering if helping them establish support within the group will lessen the "need" for teacher buddy behaviors?
