Instructor Personality Types
If an Instructor's personality lends itself to
a certain style of teaching, how can the instructor resist the temptation to slip
back into using that style even if it's less
productive.
Ralph, we could say the same for students. How do we as instructors keep our students moving forward in the direction we know is most productive? We continually evaluate and make adjustments to our lesson plans and our delivery techniques. We as instructors need to also evaluate ourselves. Bring in guest monitors, ask for help from other colleagues, engage with students and have deep rooted discussions about expectations and if those expectations are being met. Through this process both students and instructors grow and become better.
