Evaluation from the student and the onsite supervisor allow to identify the barriers and how to fix them.

It is beneficial to review the site following the experience to ensure that it is a valuable learning experience for others.

Good to mention that there is etiquette to engaging in feedback with interns during evaluations.

Comment on Edward Chan's post

Timely communication between the educator, student, and specific sites should be consistent and professional.  Address how the intern can receive the best outcome from meeting the objectives.

Everyone's experience and input is important. The student and the evaluator could have a completely different opinion of their journey during the internship.

It is important to be able to write a journal paper about their experiences which can be the basis for some adjustments/ consideration in changing some objectives of the internships.

Feedback is crucial because it greatly assists in learning and growth, skill development, clarifies expectations, builds confidence and enhances communication.

Feedback is essential when it comes to both parties. It is essential for instructors so we can improve our programs and quality of teaching, clinical sites etc. Evaluation is important for students because it can help guide them to do better the next term.

Evaluations of a student's progress should include their ability to meet the outlined objectives set before the internship/clinical begins.

Exit interview after Externship should be a great tool to measure the goals achieved by the student.

Internship activities provide a practical way to evaluate skills that are often difficult to assess in an academic setting. Feedback for skills and behaviors, such as attitude, maturity, and judgement can further prepare a student for post education employment.

Both the students and internships supervisors feedback can be instrumental in making positive changes to the internship as a whole.

For students to get the most out of their experiences, they need quality feedback throughout their internship experience.

The post internship meeting is something that I do not currently do, but would consider adding in

I now understand how crucial it is to evaluate students' internship experiences to make sure they meet learning goals and prepare students for their future careers. As a teacher, I can implement this by stressing the importance of setting clear goals at the start of internships, promoting regular feedback from supervisors, and helping students reflect on their experiences through journals or presentations, which will help them develop important skills for their future jobs.

The student journal is a great feedback to the employer and program.

The faculty should evaluate the intern's journal and reflections can help with changes to curriculum to improve the internship experience.

Comment on Francisco Gonzalez's post:   Its important to note that students should be journaling their progress, as to know if the sites are giving them the best experience, and how the sites are doing as a whole.

Providing feedback and student's evaluation at the internship site is an important element of monitoring the student's progress.
