I use to do repetition of the content to give the students more contact with what was explained. Before I start the class I use to review the last lesson so it help students to recall previous knowledge.

I also use the exercise of having my students write and submit Final exam questions. It is a wonderful way to get them thinking.
I would want to be a learner in my own classes because I want to make my students feels as if we are all in this class together. We are learning as one unit and it helps with building repore with the students and it also encourages them to know that they can do well in the class.

Well, I would enjoy being a learner in my classes because I would be expereiencing lots of lab time, not just lecture time. I know that I would be hearing the material many times in many different ways. I usually lecture, demo, & have labs that all have the same ideas in them so that it covers all of the learning styles.
I would want to be a learner in my class because I bring in a hands-on approach. The student learns in a clinical situation simular to what they will have to work in after graduation.
I also use this technique and I preach it to the students. They love the consistency and the predictability of it.
If I am learning in my class, along with my students, I am generally relearning a subject that might rarely use which will trigger addition information that I would want to pass on the the class, and hopefully, help set a trigger point for their memory of the subject.

Another reason I'd like to be a learner in my own class is so that I could critique myself. As I sit in the learner seat I would be able to see myself from the students perspective.
I would want to be a learner in my own class because I set my classes up for students to have fun while they learn. I enjoy learning and being bored isn't fun for me.
Ellis, I like this point of view. The instructor is the alpha learner, and their attitude and energy directs all the others.

It promotes the instructor's continued interest. The instructor is, after all, the alpha student. "glady would we learn and gladly teach."
