Next time activity

Will use the relay race, as my class size tends to be small and this activity is better suited [I believe]for smaller groups. Taking a cue from the Baby Ruth candy bar as reward for the baseball game, I would find an appropriate goodie for hand out at the end of the race.

Wendy, I like that you are tying the theme of the reward to the game you are playing, it makes it even more memorable.

I already use the ball toss game in a class on Blood borne pathogens. its a huge hit! i give out gummy bugs as a reward! I cant wait to implement the football game during anatomy review for a test!!

kristine, I love the tie in of the gummy bugs with the bold borne pathogens ball toss. The theme also is an anchoring item for building memory.

My nest activity will be crossword. I hsve a large class 32 students this makes space at a premium. Jackie McManus

jacqueline, crosswords work as individual activities, pair activities and small group activities as well.

Love this idea. Anything to switch up the traditional lecturing. Students tend to welcome a "get up and move" activity which in my experience reinforces the material. Thanks for the gummy bug reward idea!

Jane, thank you for getting your students moving and refocusing on content when they are tired.
