I have use crossword puzzles in several of my classes and have found that the students enjoy doing them. I have used these puzzles as fillers,class activities, a game of challenge for the entire class to enjoy and challenge each other. I have even use crossword puzzles as a pop quiz exam. I also notice that when the students have a large amount of class assignments to do and I include a crossword puzzles or a matching game they seem to relaxe and enjoy the work yet retain the medical information.

I agree this is definitely going to be something that I adopt, but it will have to be homework. I'm so stressed to get all the info in class that I fear this activity will take up too much class time.

I haven't used these in my class yet, but I have seen it used in classrooms before. They do tend to take a good deal of time if the student does not know the material so I can see how this is a good time filler and study guide since they would have to look up those terms/definitions they are not familiar with. I also can see how this would improve the students spelling in general. It seems as though in my region, there are many adult learners who are not the best spellers and they really don't seem to care about it, but this activity would force them to atleast try.
