Visual Method

I agree with a number of my fellow instructors that the visual method has worked out well for my students. Incorporating power point slides keeps the student glued to the topic given illustrations in addition to the text. One observation is that the attention of the male student appears to be more noticeable vs. the ladies in the classroom using the visual technique.

It's interesting that you have seen a difference between the males and females rate of visual learners.

I am not sure I follow what you mean by the difference between male and female students. This is probably because my students have all been female.

In your post, you mention:
"One observation is that the attention of the male student appears to be more noticeable vs. the ladies in the classroom using the visual technique."
That lead me to believe you had seen a difference between men and women with a visual method. I primarily teach females, also.

visual methods are far more beneficial for our visual learners providing more definitive detail on the subject presented with reienforcement of textbook material

Visual Methods work out the best for me and my students.

Most instructors I meet find visual methods the most successful for them.
