As instructors we should never stop evaluating our courses. Our courses must continue to improve and change as information and technology changes. We also need to make changes based on our student population as well as making sure to include the most up to date industry information within our course.
Mica,
Right on! That river keeps flowing and flowing and all is different.
Thanks for your input.
Indeed. You never cross the same river twice, right?
Each class or audience is different. We need to constantly "improve and change," even during a course as well as from course to course.
I sometimes have 2 sections of the same class during a term and I'm surprised at what works in one doesn't in the other. Or that end-of-course evaluations read like opposites--one class finding value in an exercise or assignment that the other did not and vice versa.
Ron,
Right on. We continue to learn from students and we have to continually assess everything we do to make improvements. Nice job.
Yes, courses need continuous evaluation and revision as necessary. Students learn from the course. We learn from the students.
Douglas,
Yes, the business community can provide such substance to the online classroom. We want to keep the content up to date the best we can.
Thanks!

Involving the business community as a stakeholder can make sure we obtain information about the most up-to-date and most desired business skills needed in the business community for our students.

Kelly,
Everything we do has to be reviewed and edited. We have to make sure the course is the best it can be each time we teach it.
Traci,
I completely agree. Courses will always need evaluation and updating. As times change, student population changes, and technology changes classes will need to be revised.
And yes schools will always want their courses to be the most up to date so that the work applies to the field the student is going into.
Good points,
Kelly
Traci,
You are right. This is a never ending cycle we have to continue to do. Our classes can always be better and we have to keep them current. Nice job.
