My concern is not so much the caps. I have not experienced a lot of students posting using caps. What I do frequently see is students using a larger font to show that they are writing/using more words than they actually are.

It's good to explain to the students why all caps and texting language may be difficult for those who do not use texting language as much. Also stress profession communication and when texting may/may not be used. Thanks!

I see a lot of students use a size or two larger than the average size and double spacing so that their papers look longer all of the time! When assigning a written project I often require students to use size 12 times new roman 1.5 spaced, this way all students are using the same size and there is no confusion or misunderstandings.
