
How do you handle a student that do not have the required technical skills? I found referring them to the Advisor does not always help.
I find that if you have a good help desk person they can also help you to bridge this gap when it comes to technical skills.
I too refer to the advisor. It is difficult when not on a physical campus to instruct and guide. I must rely on the online resources that are provided and then follow up

That is a tough question. You really need to have this discussion with your program area and/or distance on how to handle a student that does not have the skills or does not have access to technology availability. This discussion is so important to have and a develop a plan of action to either remediate the students or to determine the student's next step.
