Positive Feedback
I am an instructor in a commericial driver license truck driving school and I find that with positive feedback on how well a student is doing when learning the necessary skills needed for this course the students learn from it.
I am a soon to be instructor at a career college, but I know from experience the power of positive feedback. I have been a classroom teacher for eleven(11) years. I use positive feedback to capitalize on the students' strengths. This works!
I agree, the more positive feedback you give the better the students do. I have been working at a career college for three years now and the one thing I have learned is that most of students grew up in an environment where the only type of feedback they received was negative. They need us to tell them they can do it and they will make it even when things look hopeless, and especially when they feel like quitting.
