It is crucial for student’s success to have a deliberate process in assigning a faculty on course. The course clearly outlines the importance of faculty education, certifications, and industry experience in assigning a course.
It is important to maintain adjunct faculty who are active professionals within their field and it is crucial to assign them to courses that enhance a student's experience and the business community.
Some faculty are more successful and engaging with certain topics or levels of courses. To optimize the learner experience, there should be thoughtful consideration of faculty assignments.
It is important on post secondary schools to hire faculty or instructors that meets the education, state and program requirements to teach the course. In addition, individual who are actively working in the field and has a big background of experience in the field that they will be teaching can bring in and share a lot of experience that is beneficial on the learning process of the students and at the same time help some of them understand the insdustry better and the expectation after they completed the program.
It is not only important to hire well qualified individuals that meet accreditation requirements, but also to help them maintaim their professional development.
Learning mangaement is very important faculty and if done correctly could benefit the entire school. You have to meet certain standards as well.
It is neccessary to have a set onboarding process for new instructors just as it is to continue to develop exisiting instructors.
Profesional developent and individual development are very important to mantain high level standards of teching in the online environment. The best combination to have is professional experience and teaching experaince. This will be very enhanced if the needed credentials are there as well.
It is continually important to develop staff, especially those that you are managing from a distance, in regards to professional development, teaching pedagogies and technology. When a new instructor on-boards, it is important to have a faculty trainer to show them the ropes of the LMS and it may be beneficial to support the new instructor with a classroom assistant. This is a two-fold benefit as the assistant can also track the instructor's progress and show them where to continue in their devleopment further. Continuing education in our industry as a whole is a requirement of many licenses, and not only that but it is essential to continue being an effective educator and leader in the classroom. With technologies rapidly developing and changing, creating in-services or assigning online courses to support instructors will increase retention as well as effectiveness in the online courses.
Professional development is key to maintaining high quality instruction and performance for faculty.
Specific industry knowledge, along with participating in professional developemnt is an imporant aspect of choosing and maintaining the appropriate faculty.
PD and inservices are important factors for faculty development and retention
I have learnt the importance of hiring and assigning adjunct faculty who are experts in the course they'll be teaching

Although we provide many opportunities for faculty growth and training, we don't define the difference between "in-service" and "professional development". I feel we should do this from this point forward.
Important for management to offer professional development activities and in-services to continue to develop faculty growth
There are so many different LMS out there. Wherever one decides to become an instructor, one should grasp theat LMS and become one with it in order to facilitate what your students will be expected to do better.
A robust orientation for faculty member is key to a successful start along with ongoing professional development.
