If a school is not compliant with the regulations, they run the risk of losing their ability to operate in Florida. Punitive action is foremost when discovery of compliance errors exist.

Well I'm fairly new but we have to make sure we are within compliance. This is of great importance.

Terms commonly used by our School are:
Application - one component of an applicant's submission for consideration to join our program; the application includes contact information, work experience summaries, and answers to several easy questions.

English Requirements - students whose highest degree attained was from a university in a country whose first language is not English are required to take a TOEFL or IELTS as part of the admissions process

Information Sessions - these are opportunities for prospective students to hear more about the program in an informal setting; they often include presentations from admission representatives, as well as a chance to see the campus and facilities where the studying will occur

Interviewing - upon completion of their application, students may be invited in for an interview, conducted by our admissions staff

Emissions do need to make sure that we outline all the aspects of enrollment that includes all fees being charged. There should be a distinction between tuition, refundable fees, and nonrefundable fees.

One of our most common terms is career training and preparation. We are constantly seeking to give prospective students fair and accurate information about the dental assisting field, the DANB test, and actual career expectations.

Enroll... Enroll is the term used for signing up for the courses you will take in a particular term

Admission.... Admission is the term we use when we allow you to study at the Institution.

Certificate.... Certificates are designed to provide you with the opportunity to obtain skills and knowledge in a specialized field

course description..... A course description is an outline of the main content, organization and expected outcome of a course.

Tuition....
the charge or fee for instruction, as at our institution

....just to name a few. These terms are used to ensure that we are following proper guidelines, informing our customers that we are following guidelines, and to stay up-to-date with the appropriate terms and definitions to use when providing information.

We try to not only be professional while speaking with prospects, but also positive and upbeat.

The marketing plan can certainly direct the students in your area. Knowing what brings them to your door is very important in understanding their career goals and finding the best fit.

A commonly used term at our institution is marketing. We have many different programs for local as well as international students and it is important for me to know where we are advertising and in what areas we are focusing on at any given time. When students call in they expect the person on the other end to know exactly what they are referring to when they are talking about a specific promotion of our programs.

We focus more on the prospective student before the actual admissions process. Some things we discuss are motivation, career paths and all the services provided for the student. These include financial and career services after graduation.

Motivation can be a powerful thing. We need to be cautious when we motivate students because we want to be sure that we are allowing them to make their own decision.
