Some of the most common terms and definitions use during the admission process at my institution are:

-Complete application : when all required documents are completed entirely, including signatures and dates

-Prospect: a person who is interested in our school but has not yet completed the application process

-Transcript : a form obtained from previous training that allows us to determine if credit hours may be given to the applicant

-Credit hours: when a student has successfully completed a course prior to enrolling with our institution that we give them credit for by deducting those acquired hours or services from our course work

Enrollment

Lead: Similar to a Prospective Student but has not had any action taken towards an appointment

Prospect: A lead that has shown interest in the school and is currently being pursued for an interview

Enrollment: A Prospect that has signed and enrollment agreement and met all requirements to start school

Some of the terms that are frequently used during our admissions process are: accreditation, enrollment agreement and enrollment.

It's important that our students know about accreditation and that we are accredited because that's what allows us to be recognized by the US Department of Education, subsequently granting us Title IV funding.

Also discussed with the student is the enrollment agreement. The student is informed that the enrollment agreement is a legally binding contract that forms the agreement to the terms of enrollment and discloses important policies of the institution that they are acknowledging via their signature.

Lastly, we also discuss the actually enrollment. This process entails registering the student into programs or courses at the institution. The student will charged a tuition rate and instruction will be provided.

Hi Patty! Terms and definitions commonly used at our institution are Enrollment, Marketing, and Program.

frequently used:
costs, enrollment, acceptance, non-degree, and nontraditional education. The most used would have to be on-line courses, and innovative method of instruction, which would be live and interactive remote learning.

Understanding the student's long term goal is critical in assisting in their selection of academic discipline. This allows for matching the students needs to the offering in our institution catalog.

Shelly,

Admission requirements must match as stated in the catalog. This is the compliance issue for which admissions representatives are responsible.

Patty Aronoff

One of the big ones is definately "compliance", wanting to do everything correctly and by th book.
We also stress commitment, motivation and acceptance.

We discuss misrepresentation, admission's requirements, and motivating students to make a change.

We discuss compliance, application process, and misrepresentation.

Entrance and Enrollment Requirements are at the top of the list for terms used during admission as are Completion Requirements for our program. It is the guideline for all involved.

Ashley ,
