What are some of the terms and definitions commonly used during the admission process at your institution?
So far my resource notebook consists of my college's academic catelog, some marketing material for each program we are actively enrolling, and training notes from program directed. I still need to add the regulatory information, enrollment agreements, Org chart, some additional marketing material, and fid out what gradaute hiring information we have available and is authorized to share with students. Most importantly I have an e-folder with the official sources for this information so when there are updates I am not providing students with outdated materials.
Teresa,
It's a one stop shop! Build your notebooks to work hard for you.

Angelina,
Thank you for your post. We all must adhere to fair consumer practices, thus the purpose of the laws.

This is a great tool. I have all this information, but in different places. It just makes sense to put it into one Resource Notebook! Wish I had done this many years ago!
Moses,
Excellent! You are putting together the pieces of the puzzle. It is better to understand the full picture when dealing with recruitment materials.

I have added thus far the rules 6E-2.010 and the terms and definitions. I feel it is imperative that not just me but every staff member should cross train and become familiar with them. I hope to see every dept create a similar Resource Notebook for their respective depts and areas. After watching the attached link http:/
I have placed such items as the catalog, current semester class schedule, and copies of all current recruitment materials. Creating the notebook has given me the opportunity to learn not only what items we use for recruitment, but why we use those items as well.
Glenda,
Pictures are worth a thousand words, especially when it comes to beautiful, sunny Florida with the water and beaches.

Evelin,
Very exciting! Continue to add additional materials to build your resource notebook. Create your own to your own design.

Angelina,
Terms and definitions are derived from statute and rule. Make sure your definitions correspond accordingly.

Sheldon,
Do's and Don'ts are a great idea. We all need reminders such as this.
Patty Aronoff
Giovanna,
Excellent post! The enrollment agreement along with the catalog are the two most important documents the student has with your school.

Sheldon,
Commitment is key to success. It is very difficult to be successful without firm commitment.

I have added the catalog, enrollment application, and all the rules and regulations for the new school.
Since we will be a diving school, I have also added several pictures for the students to see that describe the course.
Well this is new for me. I have included exactly what the training says in my Notebook, I mean, the catalog, the enrollment agreement sheet, and so on.It is very exciting. This is a very young institution we are still in diapers compared to others but it is interesting. I have learned a lot about rules and regulations that I have reviewed from the site of the Commission for Independent Education. I did not even know that you could have an agent from outside to recruit students which I find very useful.
I have just begun compiling my Resource Notebook. So far it has information about each department's function and resources for students, personell, and contact information. I have also recently learned that this regulatory training is mandatory, as it was not required at the institution I was employed at prior.
