Alisha,
Excellent practice! Anytime that a call is recorded, you must receive permission from the caller. Admissions calls are often reviewed for compliance.
Patty Aronoff
Koffi,
The enrollment agreement along with the catalog constitute the contract between the student and the school. When the student signs the enrollment agreement, they are stating they have read and received a copy of the catalog.
Patty Aronoff
Well, many terms are used. The most common ones are enrollment (registering a student into an institution), enrollment agreement (legal document signed by both the institution representative and the student), program (a presecribed group of course)scholarship (grant-in-aid to a student), and many more.
Some of the terms and definitions we frequently use are financial aid, enrollment, and admission. We use these terms when we talk to prospective students and answer their questions about these topics.
MONTFORT,
The enrollment agreement along with the catalog constitute the contract between the student and the school.
Patty Aronoff
Marissa,
It is very important that the prospective student understand these terms and how they affect their student experience.

accrediting agencies provide volunteer membership for institutions and act as gate keepers for federal funding program participation if they are approved and recognized by the us department of education accrediting agencies are classified generally as national or programmatic depending on their charter approval and scope
Is the yearly publication of security report also applied to online institutions?
Dear Patty,
As an Online institution, we are expecting to have student enrollments in foreign countries. Are our agents in foreign countries required to comply to the Florida rules and regulations ?
Koffi,
Excellent explanations of your key terms. Providing such thorough information to your students gives them a strong understanding of these terms and how they apply to their student experience.
Patty Aronoff
Jakelin,
Great plantation of an accrediting agency. Be sure to verify the USDOE recognition of the accrediting body as there are many unrecognized accrediting agencies posing as legitimate.
Patty Aronoff
Koffi,
Yes, it is part of the Clery Act required by the federal government.
Patty Aronoff
Rachel,
Very helpful and very necessary! Having the regulations available to you for research or study is necessary in order the understand and apply them.
Patty Aronoff
Koffi,
If they are representing your company, they are considered agents. You will need to contact CIE on how to handle foreign agents.
Patty Aronoff
Of course Enrollment Agreement, program, accreditation is one that we find our prospective students do not fully understand and we provide education on.
Accreditation is big for us in educating people as to what the accrediting body really is and really does.
Enrollment and Enrollment agreement
Title IV funding.
Are all terms used in our daily business
We are currently in the application process for a provisional license; not up running yet. After reading all the postings and comments related to this topic, I realize the Resource Notebook is very critical, a valuable support element to run with success an institution, and to keep its credibility. Thanks to all of you for sharing your experience. I have just started building mine, keeping in mine that it must be continuously updated with new information/changes, particularly those related to the rules and regulations of the Commission, and to the overall education business. Documents I have compiled in my resource notebook are:
- The 2013 Florida Statutes, Chapter 1005: nonpublic postsecondary education
-Chapter 6 E Florida Administrative Code Commission Rules
- Institution catalog
-Enrollment Agreement
-Organization chart
-Faculty & Staff handbook
-Faculty and staff credentials and qualifications.
It will be updated as more and new documents will be developed.
During the admissions process the terms that are used most often include accreditation, enrollment agreement and program. We do not use an agent and find that marketing and advertising are not asked about by prospective students during the admission process.
