Thomas,
Accreditation is often confused with the term licensure. Accreditation is a voluntary experience where as licensure is mandated.

Thomas,
Accreditation is often misinterpreted and misused. I'm glad to hear that you're spending time to fully inform the student about accreditation and how it affects their education.
Patty Aronoff
Elizabeth,
We often ask prospective students how they heard about our school so that we may notify our marketing staff of outcomes regarding to any strategies used in their campaigns.
Patty Aronoff

Great thought and reminder! It is very important to track that information to make sure money is being spent wisely.
I have recenly added our powerpoint presintation to our resourse notebook. As the school director it has helped the admissions representative to inform rules and regulations and that helps the perspective student to be able to make a decision if this is the right institution for them.
Enroll- signed enrollment contract and paid reg. , fee
Start date- day that class start
Total Investment- includes cost of tuition, kit, books, reg. fee, ect.
Acceptance- meets our requirement standards outlined in the school catalog.
Obviously, the resource notebook is an invaluable tool. Having policies and procedures, the school catalog, program information, campus and student services information, as well as continuing to add to the binder moving forward is extremely beneficial to learning and being successful. Learning the specifics of the admissions requirements and nuances of those requirements for the various programs was new information.
That sounds wonderful . This will be very helpful to me being the owner of a new institution.
some of our commonly terms and definitions are :
Catalog
Enrollment Agreement
Program content
program length
Financial Aid
Goals
Prices
During the admissions process we use several terms. The commonly used terms would be the Fair Consumer Practice- exactly what that is and how it needs to be followed.
Marketing is discussed as well specifically where our students are hearing about us and if the information provided is reaching enough potential students.
Of course we talk about advertising which goes hand in hand with marketing. It is discussed that the information disseminated needs to be consistent and type of method chosen (internet, print, etc) is reaching potential students.
Some of the terms and definitions commonly used are,Accreditation, agent, commision, enrollment, fair consumer practices, marketing, program, scholarship, rules, and title V.
I realize how important it is to write everything because you keep yourself update and also always will provide the student the right answer to their questions, plus help you to mantain you information organize.
Im so agree plus help you to know all the institution information
I'm the same way it's remid me everything when I need to go back and check any information that i'm not sure to give out to the student.
During the admission process are accreditation, what the commission of florida means, emrollment process...
It is very helpful to always make some notes and you always can go back and revise just in case you forgot. That is why so important to organize a notebook
I completely agree with this. Knowing how an applicant has heard about our school is a great way to figure out what marketing or advertising techniques work the best and are most efficient!
Some of the terms and definitions used at my institution are:
Accreditation, enrollment, financial aid, and enrollment agreement.
Title IV funding is a big one at our institution. You wouldn't believe how many people don't know what it is! Also,"PPA" for our program participation agreement...
