I always print out any guidelines, rules, regulations, statues, you name it! I feel one of the best ways to learn the rules and regulations are to print them out and go over them, but to allows learn how they apply to your specific job duties. Once you know how they apply and how to actaully apply them, if need be, you will have no problem adhereing to them.
Marilyn,
The forum is a great opportunity to read into others experiences as well as drop on their expertise.

Bobby,
Excellent practice which is performed by many of us. Outlook calendar or a calendar reminder works very well to keep us on our toes.

Since it is a recommendation to update yourself with the Florida Statutes and Rules and Regulations on a monthly basis I have a reminder on my Microsoft Outlook calendar to go into their website and ensure that I reread the Rules and Regulations that are of upmost important to my job. If there are any new updates then I reprint them and add onto my Notebook and also share with my peers and boss if no one has brought it up to my attention.
Douglas,
Interesting! The description of the facilities is a very important part of the catalog. This is one area where students like to see the environment that they will be in

I now know that I need to review these regulations on a regular basis. This training is great! I had no idea that the description of the building and the square footage needed to be in the catalog. Yet...it is right there on page 4. I never paid close enough attention to those details. Is there any particular format that is preferred when listing the building's physical description? Can you provide an example?
Bryan,
Continue to review the material on a regular basis. As you gain your knowledge you will put more of it together in the practice as admissions.

Magally,
Statues can be changed only once a year through the legislative process. Rules can be changed throughout the year and receive public notice prior to modification.

April,
It is the best of both worlds! Having the rules and regulations printed is one thing but learning the rules and ensuring that you know the rules is another.

Excellent! Following the process of updating your notebook on a regular basis is a great practice to have.

Enilda,
Great teamwork! When the team all looks for changes and discuss what's going on in current trends, the whole team is looking out for each other.

I have been going over the material several times and I take the time to highlight the most important and used subjects within the material. I use a 3 ring binder to keep everything organized and easy to find whenever I need it.
Checking every two months the comission web page to check whether there have been changes in the rules and statutes.
