I was looking over the links in the studying material and also printed them out to have on hand. It helps as guidelines.
I try to access the CIE website every month to stay up to date. Also, information is passed down from my dean and director.
Ways to Learn of Various Statutes and rules and regulations: For one I have gone into the Dept of Educ. website and done my own research. The previous training I did last year, which was Similar if not the same to this one.
By reading, printing and studying the rules and regulations. I plan to monitor for updates and add them to my binder.
I have printed the Statutes and Rules and Regulations. I have read through them to better understand how to comply with these regulations. I have a better understanding of how important the admissions process is and to better take care of the student and institution.
I printed the statutes as well and we have monthly updates on any changes and we print them out at our institution.
When I first came to my Institution I was able to not only having training from the senior counselor in admissions but I was also able to get training from each admissions counselor. This helped me process and understand that each action I take and explain during my admissions interviews I am following a regulation. From the form that the file is created to the documents that are needed to fill the student file. Taking this computer training also helps everything come full circle with all the information that I have been provided.

The agendas for the commission meetings are on the website. Check the link on the left and you will find upcoming agenda meeting dates and locations. It will also have a link where you can view the next commission meeting on a webcast.

Excellent! Make sure that the rules you use are the most current and up-to-date. Rules can be changed anytime during the year. Statutes can only be changed during legislative session.
