
I am curious how other institutions track whether your print and direct mail advertising as being effective. Do you always use a call to action on your pieces. Web tracking is so easy, that sometimes people over look how they generate leads from other avenues.

At my institution we also track advertising from all venues to include print and direct mails ads. Understanding where your quality prospective students are coming from, and how to effectively reach out to them, is crucial when managing an effective advertising campaign.
We have a sytem in place, that way when a potential student comes in. We ask them how did they hear about us, and we also make sure to keep a track of how many come in due to drive bys, radio ads, tv ads, or word of mouth.
