What programs are offered at your school and how will you learn about the jobs students train for?
Stephanie,
My suggestion is to tap into Career Services and your Extern Coordinators for more information on both programs.
Patty Aronoff
There are two main types of programs that I will be dealing with and those are the Medical Coding and Billing diploma program and the HIT degree program. I will do as much research as possible to prepare and learn.
We teach students the entry-level skills needed to write, shoot, direct and edith their own films. Our program is a hands-on, learn by doing training program where each student learns the craft of filmmaking by actually making their own film.
We train our students to be visual effects artists! We teach them about the VFX industry and expose them to the latest trends, techniques and work flows. It's an intense program that gets them ready in a very short amount of time! I've learned about program by reading all of the collateral that prospective students and currently enrolled students receive as well as talking with the instructors regarding their curriculum.
We are offering excellent programs in CJ and Technology. Our campus provides with theory and practical classes. Students are helped by professors active in the field they teach, our Deans are closely involved with Student Career Coordinator to provide students with a well rounded hands-on experience as students, combined with a team of experts who work hard in assisting students to create a good circle of potential employers and get them ready to interview and obtain employment in their field of expertise.
From start to finish, our students are really who matters most and receive excellent support!
We are proud to have guests speakers and experts on a regular basis to show our student what "the job" really is in the real world. We also have field trips organized by our Deans to show our students where they could work once they graduate. I am really proud to see how our school really ties the academic, hands-on and the opportunities to see and meet people who work and hire in our fields of study.
I would have loved to experience the same dedicated services when I was in college!
currently we are offering Technology course such as computer and electronics engineering and computer network systems. we offer criminal justice and computer drafting and design.
David,
Try sitting in on classes and speaking with faculty. You will be amazed at what you will learn.
Vincent,
The connections your school maintains with the community are so important as they are the employees of your future graduates.
Dahlia,
You are very dedicated to your job and seeking every opportunity to increase your knowledge and experiences.
Gladys,
Not every student is looking for a degree, but are certainly looking to improve their lives with education.
At this point we have only 3 programs available, Nursing, EET and NST. I will read catalog, talk with instructors and participate in product knowlege presentations.
We have different programs to meet future student needs for example, Medical Assistant Degree Medical Assistant Diploma. Phlebotomy, CNA, CAD, Network Administration Degree and Diploma, and Businesses Admin Degree. We offer a good variety of programs, to help those who are looking for an education but not necessary a Degree.
Our institution offers cosmetology, skin care, nail technology, massage therapy, full specialist and laser hair removal. We have an advisory board to assist in this process as well as student services coordinator to visit salons/spas to keep us informed of industry needs and changes.
The programs offerred at our school relates to the healthcare industry and recently we have seen an increase in applicants for this scope of training.
The best way that i can think of learning about the jobs the students are training for is by doing it as well which i have done so as to have a better understanding of their goals, motivation and understanding of the courses being taught. Meeting with the instructors, getting a copy of their course syllabus, outlines and course work and allowing them to explain what the course objective is and how it relates to the scope of practice. Going out into the field of practice and seeing how others carry out their tasks and knowing how the benefits of gaining that education and mastering it helped them to achieve their goals and assisted them in achieveing their jobs. Learning how competitive the job environment may enable us to impart knowledge that could give them the skill needed later on and because we do provide the skills training it does benefit our students in the field.
Jill,
Interesting point in that doctor offices are now incorporating these careers in their services to their patients.
Renee,
Both departments are integral to the student experience and a valuable resource to admissions personnel.
