Tuition Assistance

I almost confused myself on one of the assessment questions asking about tuition assistance options offered by admissions reps. I thought the question was asking if they are required to know about tuition assistance, but the question was asking if they were the ONLY source for information. Tricky questions.

I completely agree, it is a tricky question. As an admissions representative, we are told to not discuss funding with the students. That is was our Student Finance department is for. But when the specialist brings the student back to us, it is our job to make sure that all of their questions were answered and that they understand everything that just took place.

Alicia,

Well stated! The student financial services department are the subject matter experts in that area. We do have the responsibility to make sure their questions have been answered.

I try to stay clear of all financial discussions. I allow the specialist to discuss same.

Sherry,

That is a very good philosophy. They know the information and it's the best place for them to relay that information to the students.
