We have a bi-weekly conference call with all of our other campuses and corporate office to constantly train and learn more about our job, school, etc.
Weekly staff meetings are conducted. Additionally sharing the relevant information in the continuing education courses as well as regulatory updates on an ad hoc basis is beneficial.
Rachel,
Meetings should be open forums in order to get feedback and develop a learning community among staff.

Mark has a great point. Open discussion in meetings can bring to light issues that need to be addressed or give you insight and ideas that you had not previously thought of.
I agree with the training course, suggesting regular staff meetings. This is the place to exchange ideas, to know new rules/regulations, to get new updates, to get new policies, and to obtain feedback from bosses and co-workers. To also know if we can improve the way we do business and we are all in tuned following the institution's policies to maintain licensing and established protocol.
Ana,
Meetings are a great way to keep informed and make sure everyone is on the same track.

We have 3 types of meetings at my Institution, show meetings where we talk about status of applied students, then we have the "one on one" where we talk about our performance and the product knowledge meetings to talk about our programs, changes within the programs and any change within the policies as well.
Denise,
I like the term "daily huddle" as it make me feel like we are all on the same team.
Patty Aronoff
Norma Suzanne,
Excellent! Meetings are the pathway to keeping everyone informed.

I attend several key meetings which are designed to ensure information is disseminated from top down. We have a Monday, Wednesday and Friday Manager meeting which lasts about an hour and we get updates and expectation from the Director. I attend a weekly meeting to discuss upcoming groups, and classes that are running. I attend quarterly meetings where we get information from the Campus VP.
I also hold weekly team meetings; and daily huddles both are conducted on a need basis.
Product knowledge training, admissions trainings and CIE requirement meetings with the school owner.
Eva,
Keep the communications alive. New ideas keep us moving in the right direction.

Christina,
So interesting! Sharing and testing at the same time. (I might steal this one!)

alain,
Two very important documents! The catalog and the enrollment agreement are the contract with the student. We must know every inch!
Patty Aronoff
Ana,
Excellent! Meetings keep everyone on the same page and focused on the same goals.

Shelley,
Meetings are our opportunity to become informed, share ideas and ask questions. Be involved in meetings!

I attend weekly staff meetings and one on one meetings with my DOA to discuss my progress, new ideas and areas of opportunity.
Here at our institute, we also have mock interview training sessions. I find these to be very helpful and prepare us to handle the "harder" questions that some prospective students may ask. It's great to have training modules that prepare us with the answers before we enter into an actual interview. We also have weekly team meetings to discuss potential "pitfalls", such as correct verbage to use and question/listening do's and dont's. Our institution is always "keeping us on our toes"!
I was very well trained by my supervisor who is the Directors of Admission. Every Admissions representative must attend to a weekly meeting where we discuss the policies, procedures, and regulations of the university. As a result, we go over our catalog and admissions manual to review it and learn it propertly.
