Applicants Past Education
Applicants whose education has in the past been adversely affected by circumstances beyond their control (i.e. disability, ill health, schooling difficulties, family problems etc.). It is therefore likely that their examination record will not properly reflect their ability or potential, and will appear less impressive than those of other applicants

Students should be able to explain their past history with academic records. Having to deal with life's issues can adversely impact their academic transcript. Starting over and achieving their academic dream is always available.

I agree that every potential student should have the opportunity to explain their particular situation before being accepted or denied due to "circumstance beyond their control."
Kayleigh,
When circumstances beyond their control do appear it is in the best interest of the school to have documentation to support that circumstance. For example if they said they were in the hospital, then they would have documentation regarding that stay.
