What are some successful ways to get information out to students? We have found hard-copies and online versions of everything are very successful, wondering what others have had success with?
We get most of our student referral from friend and family. It does work better with word-of-mouth than other advertising.
James,
Personally developed leads are the best! They are the most credible and obviously they're free.

Vivian,
Word-of-mouth is probably your best advertising avenue. Plus it doesn't cost you anything.

We find that word of mouth and social media is a great way for prospective students to know about our program. It also helps that our programs are a part of our hospital. Our hospital is a pillar in the community and has a very good reputation.
John,
We are just beginning to understand the power of social media. It is still such an unknown entity.

Social media is the one source of communication to the Millennial Generation. Today's students decide how they want to receive information. They will most likely take in digital information their virtual friends pass to them.
I agree, word of mouth is the best way to advertise because it is personal and you accurate.
Jeremy,
Agreed! There are many ways to communicate today and finding the best method can keep those lines open.

I believe a blended approach, utilizing as many of the communication tools available as possible, giving prospective applicants the opportunity to reply via the method they prefer is the way to go, without over doing it.
Our most successful way to obtain new students is strictly word of mouth. We do some advertising, but our reputation is pretty solid.
Kelly:
We have found that more and more prospects are interacting online. We have discovered that we are most successful in reaching out to prospects and graduates via email, text and social media (for example, Facebook).
Kelly,
I look forward to hearing what others post on the forum. But I will say that social media is a driving force in reaching many people today.
