Ethics profession

Schools may not offer payment or other incentives to prospective students as a means to entice enrollment.

Maritza,

Offering payment or any type of noneducational incentive to enroll into school would be unethical. Students need to make the decision to go to continue their education for their own benefit.

Cindy Bryant

Absolutely not, of course! I also believe a school should not offer free services to our prospective students to entice an enrollment.

Olga,

Hi! What would be an example of a free service to entice an enrollment?

Cindy Bryant

Examples of free services to entice students could be in forms of gifts, money (gift cards), and discounts on tuition costs.
These are a definite no-no and can lead to a student using these instead of making an informed decision in whether your school is the best for them.
