Staff upset with supervisor

While I was reading the material, it is really challenging for a school to control every single person that comes into contact with students. While there are systems in place to minimize the risk, there is always a possibility that a staff member does the wrong thing on purpose, because he or she is upset with management for example. I recently was in a networking event, where I overheard someone saying they had done this on purpose to get his boss in trouble.

Have anyone experience this or seen this happen? I would like to know the outcomes when someone does this on purpose to tarnish the reputation of the institution they work for.

I concur, and can testify that the task is daunting.

I think eventually the person responsible will be revealed. It's a big risk to take just to hurt a boss you don't like.
The problem comes in when a dissatisfied employee pulls such a stunt when they are about to leave the company.

I think everyone should have to take FERPA training. It seems to be generally assumed that we know this information.
