I really appreciate the STAR method and learning how to choose relevant stories to share in an interview. I will share that with job seekers as well as coach them that it is not just "what" they say in an interview but "how" they say it.
The STAR method sticks out as it makes interview responses more memorable to the interviewee when making hiring decisions. Also, the confidence section stuck out to me as a teacher who is helping coach and prepare students for the interviewing process. Confidence is HUGE and it's nice to have practical steps to help students reflect confidence in a stressful situation.
I never really thought about the importance of calming the mind and body in the days leading up to an interview, but it makes complete sense. Nerves and higher anxiety are normally experienced in leading up to the interview, so taking certain measures like reducing caffeine, eating healthy, getting plenty of rest, and relaxing are all important to getting you in the right mindset.
