Eagle Techs
We have a few students in each class who are outstanding students in that they have excellent attendance ,like to help others , know and follow the rules .We call them eagle techs and they get to wear special shirts .One of their duties is to speak at orientations. They also talk with newer students in the hallways exchanging stories and offer reasurance

Great idea! The shirts make them especially easy to find. Do you do some type of training with them as part of this program? Also, is there some type of recognition for them (certificate or ?) This is a great thing for them to put on their resume as well. As discussed, students are more comfortable speaking with other students in most cases so these types of programs are really effective.

Mentoring is a great way to have students stay focused on the tasks at hand.
In order to succeed you must stay focused on the goal you have set for yourself.
