Show You Know

The first week of school, have the student go to each facultyand staff name on the paper and have them sign their sheet every morning. Students should have at least five signature on their sheet. The student should address the person by name and say good morning. If the student do not address you by name, then the student have to address two other people to make up for that one.

I really like this idea. I'm going to pass it along.

I have try the partner ice breaker game on the fist day of class. The student are each given a sheet of paper with some genral questions about themselves and you go around the room having the students intoduce their partner that is conterclock wise to them as they both stand up; discovered some very intresting things and the class bond is great

We have played people BINGO for an ice breaker. This can allow time to get to know your classmates.

Have tried this show you know before. really works

This is an interesting way to remember the names of the faculty and staff. It would be great to expand that idea and have faculty/staff responsible for learning the names of the students (including the students not enrolled in their classes) and greeting them by name. If the faculty/staff cannot remember the name after the inital introduction he/she would be required to give the student a small piece of candy.

I think thats a real good way to start to remember the names. I may actually use this method myself.

Seems like a great idea!
