Being a part of planning, organization, and directing
Recently I sat in on a conference call with other instructors regarding a new class within a new curriculum. During the call many issues were raised and I recognized I work with a talented group of individuals. It was nice to be a part of the planning and roll out process. I took on a greater appreciation for the work that had been done and what I can do to help the organization in teaching the class. A little inclusion goes a long way!
Randall,
A lot of work goes into course development. Courses are usually better when the faculty members collaborate.

I enjoy being a part of the "planning, organization, and directing". I like to know that my input on projects is heard and valued. As a group we are working towards an end goal and vision.
That provide a clear view to everyone to be part of successful organization.
This is a very good idea. Curriculum should be looked at by a variety of people, different backrounds and prespectives can go a long way in putting together a well rounded curriculum.
I agree with this statement. If you are not apart of the planning with the organization you work with, it will make you feel left out and that your opinion is not important.
Yonne,
Thanbks for this post. It is important to make acknowledge ideas from team members even if those ideas are not implemented.
