This is a public group for institutions interested in ACCSC's Essential Workforce Skills (EWS) Programmatic Certification. Group members share best practices, ideas, thoughts, reflections, and resources related to the effective integration of essential workforce skills, often called "soft skills," into programs to help students develop, practice, and articulate skills critical for long-term career success.
I think the difference between concrete and ambiguous skills is something that is very important to understand. Being able to differentiate which category a lot of these buzz words fall under is important in understanding the differences.
Career Ed Lounge is embedded in over eighty professional development portals serving the career and technical education community. Performance Groups in the Lounge are integrated with related learning opportunities offered on these portals. With a few exceptions, Performance Groups are also publicly available to any member of the Lounge to maximize peer-to-peer learning and performance outcomes.
