I remember years ago a particular student that had trouble learning. English was his second language, but I believe that he had some other disability and that was why he had some difficulty learning. What I did was give him some of my personal time and although it may have helped, but that time could've been spent more effectively had I simply asked that student what specifically they might've needed. That's one of the things I learned from ED106--just ask, "How can I help you to understand this better? What has worked for you in the past?" Thanks.
