The topic of classroom management is one that is a constant learning discovery. I have learned much of this material in previous courses or through my own classroom experience but I was very keen to learn more about how manage students with undesirable behaviors. One of the things I learned about was how make sure that my syllabus and course materials reflect clear guidelines of my expectations and the deadlines for assignments. Often, when i teach a class for the first time, I begin with materials that are already in place, only to find out that they are inadequate or I am not wanting to use them. By taking more time beforehand to check into what each assignment is about and what my desired method of instruction is, I believe I will find that my classes will go smoother and I will have less issues with late work or unengaged students.
