Concepts of mature student motivation in a security learning invironment

This course, ED 109,  was very instructional in my reevaluating student motivation and promoting  active participation in a class room experience.

Mature learners are self-motivated for the most part, and seem to work very well independently without close supervision. They tend to have very high attendance rates, and come to class prepared.

Each ED course provides a unique opportunity to leanr new and tried techniques in class room learning.

I had had insufficient experience creating lesson plans, and usually just relied on notes that I had taken to guide me through class.  As a result, I sometimes ended up with extra time at the end of class.  I had thought that that was just me but was relieved to find out in ED109 that many new instructors faced the same problem.  The challenge now is rectifying that problem.

I always have an added activity in my bag of tricks for times when the time falls short!
