Teachers must promote students' engagement in class, and the best practice I apply as a science professor for Anatomy & Physiology is incorporating some scientific practices, such as asking questions and encouraging students to develop answers with supportive evidence. I also, encourage students to develop an argument to trigger other students to come up with a discussion of their answers with evidence. This not only promotes a healthy learning environment but also emphasizes the importance of evidence-based answers in developing critical thinking skills. I also encourage students to ask their teachers and fellow students questions; these scientific practices promote a healthy learning environment.
